FAQ

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

The first step is reaching out to schedule a free brief (~ 15 min) telephone consultation. We will review your concerns and discuss if Roaring Fork Psychology is the correct fit for your needs.

WHAT IS EVIDENCE-BASED THERAPY?

Evidence-based practice is the application of research-based treatments that are tailored by an experienced therapist to meet a client’s individual needs. Research-based means that empirically supported treatments have been studied in several rigorous, controlled, large-scale clinical trials involving thousands of patients. Evidence-based practice is often described as a three-legged stool. The first leg represents the best available clinical scientific evidence. The second represents your values and preferences and the third consists of the provider’s clinical experience. For the best outcomes all three legs need to be present and sound.

DO YOU OFFER TELEHEALTH SESSIONS?

Yes! Roaring Fork Psychology offers both in person and remote sessions via confidential and secure telehealth technology. Therapy via video conferencing is effective, convenient and accessible from the comfort of your home.

CAN I USE MY INSURANCE?

As an an out-of-network provider, I do not take insurance as a direct form of payment. Full payment is due at the time of service. However, I can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance or HSA for reimbursement. I recommend that you check with your insurance plan regarding your coverage and benefits for out-of-network providers.

Therapy approaches used at Roaring Fork Psychology are evidence-based and have been demonstrated to be effective in a timely manner. A good faith estimate of expected charges is available upon completion of the treatment plan.
